A Lifelong Dream Realized

In 2009 I picked Machine Tool Technology out of the Central New Mexico Community College catalog without knowing anything about it. I very quickly realized I had found my calling. About a month into the program I got a job pushing a broom in an aerospace machine shop while enrolled in my certificate program. Nine months later I had graduated with honors and I had moved up to operating CNC mills and lathes. Over the next 13 years I moved from shop to shop, learning everything I could in diverse work environments. I gained experience with parts from many industries, including aerospace and defense, medical and lab research, automotive and food processing, and in shops that varied from prototype job shop to single product-family production. In 2014 my family moved to Lakeport CA. In 2023 I came across a CNC mill decommissioned from a college in Marin, and with support from my wonderful wife, we decided to open our own shop. Our mission at Bray Precision is to provide quality parts with an excellent customer experience, to model pride in our work, perseverance, and honesty for our children, and to someday pass this operation to their hands.
